I'm putting this up before class (something I usually try to avoid), but life has been quite busy recently. I have much more stuff to post up, but that will come when I have the time. So for now, here is this: a paper bag illustration for a children's book store (geared more toward a boy) done in watercolor for Illustration 2 class. I had to go back on my original idea as the majority of the class and instructor turned it down, but that's life for you in the artworld. I had a lot of fun discovering how to make space with the naturalistic qualities of watercolor, salt, and rubbing alcohol. The size of the piece is about 11x20 or so? (I didn't really check- I just illustrated with no bounds this time, rare, but relaxing)

Back to school!
It has been awhile since I've last added as school has started back up! I will post more of my work once it has been graded and handed back to me hopefully by the end of this week. It's a busy semester so my posting may be sporadic. Anyway, here are drawings from Chris Canga's Quickstudies workshop. It has been a long time since I've drawn the nude figure (maybe a year and a half or so?). All of these were either 1 minute poses to 2's to 3 minutes. The bottom right is my most recent as I am trying to add color in the short amount of time. It's fun because of the challenge and how fast that I need to think. Being forced to think faster will help out for my Clothed Figure Drawing 3 class as I can evaluate more and draw more in a shorter time. Anyway, hope you enjoy and look forward to more to come this semester!
